This would make coffee even cheerier.
Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 12:18PM I want this mug:

It's on delight.com's list of gifts for guys (for V-day); I don't see why it's not on the gals' list. I'm not even sure I could see a guy using that mug. I would love to use it, though, and could even see using it as a bud vase.
I also want this luggage tag (well, okay, several of them to go on all the luggage):

I love little touches that help your luggage stand out when it's on the carousel. This would definitely work for that. At $13.50, though, it's a little much for my budget right now for just a single luggage tag, especially since I'd want four of them (one for each piece in our luggage set).

As a guy, I will most definitely note that I am not, repeat *not*, interested in a baby-blue coffee mug. Bleh. Guys are more into basic colors for things like coffee mugs -- black or white -- and if they have some design on it, it's usually some guy thing on it in a bright color, not something like pastel-colored rings or clouds or somethin' like that. How... femme.
Unfortunately, gifts are generally given because the *giver* likes the gift, not because the *recipient* likes the gift. Funny how that works, eh?

Thank you for the confirmation. It also comes in plum and orange but somehow I doubt those would be any more appealing. I tend not to like gift suggestion lists - I often find myself liking a lot of the supposedly "male" gifts and would be bored with or not interested in many of the "female" gifts.
People do tend to buy for themselves, which is the exact opposite of gift-giving. The joy of gift giving is spending the time to find what you think is the *perfect* gift for the recipient. Don't you love when someone says, "I got this for you because I have one and I love it." Sometimes they're right, but sometimes you're then forced to tell them how great it is even if you don't like it because they already told you they think it's perfect.
If I buy that mug, it's for me, not the hubby. He doesn't even drink coffee anyway. :)
