63. Buy traditional anniversary presents (Year 1 – Paper - Completed: November 15, 2009)

I was a bit late in getting my husband his anniversary present this year.  In fact, I gave it to him on Christmas Eve (our anniversary was November 15).  In my defense, funds were low and other things took priority, but all along I knew I was going to buy him a t-shirt for this anniversary because Year 2 is cotton and all he wears is t-shirts.

Literally.  The only times in the past year I have seen him wear something other than a t-shirt has been the baby shower, Nate's baptism, our friends' wedding, and his grandmother's funeral.  There might be another event in there somewhere, but you get the idea.  Pretty much 360 days a year, he's wearing a t-shirt.

In the week leading up to buying this shirt, all I heard about was Andy - the little green Android robot.  Andy dancing in a commercial.  Andy on this shirt, Andy on that shirt, Andy sitting at the cafe having a coffee.  (I don't know - it just seemed like I was hearing about Andy daily.)  So I had to bring a little bit of Andy into the hubby's wardrobe.

This shirt?  Is the hubby.  Burgers, napping, Droid.  See shirt?  See hubby.

So this concludes my two year venture to buy traditional anniversary gifts.  I love this idea, though, so even though I don't plan on having a new 101 in 1001 list (I want to go the "Life List" route, ooh), I plan to continue buying "traditional" anniversary presents.

I thought of doing a Mighty List also. I just felt that I work better with a time line and it doesn't really have one. Can't wait to see your list!!

And that shirt - perfect for Mr. Bookishpenguin!! I bet the next time we see you he will be wearing it!

I love that idea - and the shirt works so perfectly!

Does it make me silly that I still laugh at how it says droid in that computer-y voice?
