Fore!
Sunday, August 16, 2009 at 11:48PM 93. Play mini-golf.
My birthday surprise yesterday was dinner at P.F. Chang's (one of my absolutely favorite restaurants) followed by mini-golf, which I looooove and have been dying to play all summer. As a bonus, my birthday surprise helped me complete one of my 101 in 1001 items!
My brother joined me, the hubby, and friends for dinner which made it even more special. I have missed him fiercely the past three years while he was away at law school so I take any time I can with him. He gets along with my friends amazingly well. So many of them are musicians that they always have that to talk about, if nothing else.
I even got a hole-in-one at mini-golf! But we have no pictures of any of the golfing because the hubby forgot to bring his camera. Oops, oh well. That was fine because it was pretty humid, even though it was nighttime, and we were all feeling a bit wilted. After our 18 holes, we went out to my favorite local bar - a place I love because I walk in and know nearly none of the beers listed on their board. I love trying new beer and have never had one there that wasn't good. It's one of those awesome places that you wouldn't even realize was there if someone didn't point it out. My brother hadn't ever been to P.F. Chang's OR the bar, so it was great to introduce him to two places he ended up liking quite a lot.
Tomorrow (Monday) is my actual birthday, but Saturday was a great pre-birthday and I love that the hubby planned it all on his own (as far as I know) and came up with the absolutely perfect activities and invited all my favorite people. It was a great night. It almost makes me happy to enter my mid-30s. (Ha!)
Tomorrow: is my birthday. I have to work. Boo.

Sounds like a fun way to start your birthday celebration!! What a sweet hubby :)
I love PF Chang's sooo much! Man, especially when I was pregnant. I think I begged to eat there at least once a week. Which I think is a lot. Happy Happ Birthday to You! Hope you have a wonderful day!
Stopping by to give you a big welcome tot eh SITStahood. We are so glad you could join us and look forward to seeing you around!
I'm so sorry I missed the birthday celebration! My granny turned 92 on Saturday and my Dad turned 63 on Sunday, so we went to Hagerstown and had a BBQ at my Dad's condo. I was thinking about you though! I miss you! We really need to find a time to chat via .... PHONE! I know, I know... you aren't a phone person, but we really need to catch up.
*big birthday hugs*
p.s. Write me an email and tell me what's been going on with you! I miss your long emails. You are the only friend I have that writes such long, wonderful emails!!!
