Ch-ch-changes

I never wanted to make any changes to my 101 in 1001 list.  I figured that the things that became un-doable just wouldn't get done.  No one says I have to get a 100% completion for my list.  (Um, well, other than me.  I like 100%.)

I already changed one item#1 on the list went from "Lose 60 pounds" to "Lose the weight I gained while pregnant."  I changed this because my thoughts on weight loss have changed and because it wouldn't be feasible to lose 60 pounds (whether I wanted to or not) between now and when this list ends.  So I want to just pursue losing the baby weight after birth.  This sets me back where I started and lets me figure out where I want to go from there.  I do want to lose more weight than the pregnancy weight, but I'm not ready to make it a specific goal.

Beyond that, I have decided to change the following:

43. Develop picture organization (print display). Frame and hang pictures/art.
I planned to print and store pictures but have discovered I don't really have an interest in doing that.  I'm fine with primarily storing them digitally.  However, what I am not fine with is the lack of pictures and art hanging in our home.  I have 10 pieces I can think of off the top of my head that need to be framed (or a great frame that needs a photo); our walls are bare and it's driving me crazy.

46. With my sister’s help, scrapbook my Ireland trip.  Create a pregnancy album.
Originally, the folks I went to Ireland with planned a one year reunion and I thought it'd be great to have a cool scrapbook then . . . but that never happened (the reunion or the scrapbook) and now my priority is getting an album together for the sonogram pics, hospital bracelets, and so on.

53. Complete last year’s 26 Things. Complete a 26 Things project.
54. Complete this year’s 26 Things.  Recover my corkboard.
Both of these items were intended to provide me with creative work.  With grad school going on, I don't have as much time as I intended to walk around and pursue photo projects.  I would still like to do one, though, so I'll pick one of 26 Things projects and complete it.  As another creative endeavor, I want to turn my plain corkboard into a nice, fabric-covered one that I can proudly hang in our kitchen.

56. Create "work" "dinner party" playlist on iPod.
When I created this item, I thought I'd be moving into a position that would allow me to have my own cubicle and listen to music.  This didn't happen, so a work playlist is completely unnecessary because I can only use my iPod at work during break weeks when there are no students around.  Instead, what I realized is that I just don't want some songs coming on during dinner if I happen to have my iPod on after cooking for me and the hubs or if we have people over.  (Not everyone can eat with NKOTB on in the background.)

There are other goals I'm fairly certain won't happen as I envisioned.  For example, I'm pretty sure we won't get around to camping since we'll have a newborn/baby/toddler, but I may as well leave that on there.  Maybe we'll have a blackout and "go camping" in the living room all together one night.  I'm also pretty sure we won't get around to getting bikes/going biking but I suppose you never know.

My purpose in changing these goals is to keep the essence of the original goal while really only changing a detail or two.  I want my list to remain as the original as much as possible throughout this project.  New goals will go on the NEXT list!
